Old Friends

Spent some time with friends from the past this week.

On the weekend I read Brian McLaren's book:
The Last Word and the Word after That:
A Tale of Faith, Doubt, and a New Kind of Christianity.
I feel so comforted when I read his stuff and it was fun
spending time with Neo and Dan again.

I also watched Alias last night and a wonderful character from
the early days reappeared - Will Tippin. Once more it was
a comfort to see him interact with Sydney again.

Alias Returned

Watched Alias last night (good thing we still get ABC). I am glad it was a two-hour episode because I would have been severely disappointed with the first hour only. The best line for the night went to Eric Weiss - "I'll have to cancel my Pilates again". After five seasons of watching this show I have to ask - Are all spies psychopaths?

Changes For All

Louise has leased a minature horse! Her name is Mindy and Louise will have sole responsibility for her grooming. When the miniature horses go to fairs and/or parades, no one but Lousie will be able to show/walk/drive Mindy. This priviledge costs $50 per month and the family has agreed to give up cable to fund this adventure. This means we only get four channels - CTV, ABC, CBC and CHCH. Not bad, but almost everything we watched was on cable channels. Louise will bravely miss the Family, Teletoon & TLC channels. I will miss TVO, HGTV, LIFE network and Newsworld. Steve will miss CNN and A&E. Watch us for withdrawal symptoms!

Good & Bad

Watched two DVD's with Louise lately:

1) The Chronicles of Narnia - Goooooood
2) Yours, Mine & Ours - Badddddddddd!!!!!!!!!

Also watched the first episode of Project Catwalk, the British version of Project Runway.
Those Brits are so much more cheeky than Americans!
